Aug 16, 2016 · They only see the weight of the hoe empty. When I'm using it the outriggers are down and the tires are up in the air. The slow wheel speed means the R4s do not clean themselves out at all in the slightest amount of mud. While I can always use the loader or backhoe to get out of almost anything it really does a number on the ground.

May 24, 2009 · I will add that if I had to load snow I would pick a wheel loader but if I had to push it I'd pick a tractor. when I talk tractors I'm also talking 100 hp and up. Also the cab thing was a joke, I've never actually owned a tractor without a factory cab.

Oct 23, 2020 · The single downside of front mount is that I need to remove my loader to use it. The loader pockets load up with ice and it becomes a bit of an ordeal to change over, which is only once a month and winter only really last 4 months for us. Depending on how the Kubota loader system works, this might not even be an issue for you.

It's a really cool tractor and it came with a snow plow, discs, moldboard plow, etc. It sat idle for 30+ years and was a lawn ornament the past few. We got it freed up and gave it to a guy we know who redid the ignition and now it runs like a top.

Jul 09, 2013 · MY 5500 is TRUE power steering. I can take a pinkey finger and steer whenever I want, load in the bucket or not. All in all, they are built tough and are a good machine. You need to go look at it in person though, test it out, and see if it is what you want. With that loader and those wheel weights, you are probably looking at a 7500# machine too.

Or to pull highly resistive equipment like a multipoint subsoiler or multi-bottom turning plow. Or running a plow in deep wet accumulation. My old Ferguson had massive iron weights filling the wheel area in the ~5' tall tires.

It goes on to say that the ballast requirements depend on the application. If the loader can lift 600# then you need a bit over 600# on the rear to offset the loader weight and the lifted load.
